Special Issue on Artificial Intelligence in Computer-based medical systems. Selection of papers from IEEE CBMS 2019
Description: The 32th IEEE International Symposium on Computer-Based Medical Systems (IEEE CBMS2019) will be held at Instituto Maimónides de Investigación Biomédica de Córdoba, Córdoba, Spain, from Wednesday 5th to Friday 7th of June 2019. Attracting a worldwide audience, CBMS is the premier conference for computer-based medical systems, and one of the main conferences within the fields of medical informatics and biomedical informatics. CBMS allows the exchange of ideas and technologies between academic and industrial scientists. The scientific program of IEEE CBMS 2019 will consist of regular and special track sessions with technical contributions reviewed and selected by an international programme committee, as well as, keynote talks and tutorials given by leading experts in their fields. The CBMS 2019 edition also aims to host high-quality papers about industry and real case applications as well as allow to researchers leading international projects to show to the scientific community the main aims, goals and results of their projects. CBMS solicits submissions on previously unpublished research work. The special issue aims to mainly attract authors who have submitted papers in CBMS 2019 that match within the scope of one of the Artificial Intelligence areas presented below:
- Applications of Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare
- Medical Expert Systems
- Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery in Healthcare
- Design and development of Computer Based Medical Systems using Artificial Intelligence
- Text Mining and Natural Language Processing in Medical Documents
- Medical imaging adn artificial intelligence
- Deep Learning applications in healthcare
- Signal analysis and processing through Artificial Intelligence techniques
Papers to be considered for inclusion in the special issue in AIIM must have potential high impact in some medical or healthcare domain, must be based on any computer system and must have strong novelty of method and theory related to AI and computer science techniques. Straightforwardly, many of these topics are of interested for AIIM, as reported in the journal aims and scopes.
Selection procedure and tentative dates: Papers to be submitted to the special issue will be only by invitation and will be decided by the CBMS 2019 organizing committee. More information soon.
