ACADEMIC INFORMATION

  • Technical Industrial Engineer, specializing in Industrial Electronics (2004) from the Higher Polytechnic School of Córdoba. Award for Final Project: “Reactive energy compensation using active power filters”.
  • Engineer in Automation and Industrial Electronics (2007) from the Higher Polytechnic School of Córdoba. Award for Final Project: “Analysis and application of RFID technology in industrial safety.”
  • PhD in Industrial Engineering (coursework completed at UNED, within the Systems and Automation Engineering program). Thesis with international mention presented at the University of Córdoba (Engineering and Technologies Program). Award for best presentation at the IV Scientific Congress of Training Researchers at UCO.

TEACHING

Mario Ruz teaches in the Bachelor’s and Master’s programs in Industrial Engineering at the Higher Polytechnic School of Córdoba. He teaches courses such as “Machines and Mechanisms,” “Calculation and Design of Machines,” “Robotic Systems,” and “Digital Twin.”

Professor Mario Ruz’s contributions and interests are focused on the following areas:

  • Control and optimization in wind turbines and vapor compression systems.
  • Industrial safety in machinery through positioning algorithms and radiofrequency-based devices.
  • Mechatronics and robotic systems.
