Mr. Stefano Andrea Balsamo, pHD student at the Dipartimento di Scienze Chimiche, Università di Catania, Catania (Italy) has performed a 6 month pre-doctoral stay (from January 2022 to July 2022) in our laboratories.
Andrea has carried out research out some research related to his doctoral thesis, paying attention on the sustainable hydrogen production from glycerol photoreforming with nanostructured photocatalysts based on composite of titanium or cerium dioxide with graphene oxide. Another focal point of his time here was improving his skills with some characterization techniques such as Raman, XPS, UV-vis and FTIR spectroscopies, TEM and SEM microscopies and Z-potential measurements.
