The series of conferences «An Introduction to General Relativity from a Mathematical Point of View» will be held the 18th November, 2010 in the Sala de Grados «Manuel Medina» of the Edificio de Gobierno of the Campus de Rabanales. This event is organized by the professors Alma L. Albujer Brotons, Magdalena Caballero Campos and Rafael M. Rubio Ruiz in the Department of Mathematics of the University of Córdoba.
An overview of General Relativity from a mathematical point of view will be given starting with the basic preliminaries. For that reason we hope that this event could be interesting for a wide audience. The audience only need to have a basic mathematical background and an interest in the topic. Specifically, we hope that the conferences are of special interest for everybody who has studied, or is studying, a scientific degree.
This activity is included in the «Semana de la Ciencia 2010» of the Spanish Ministery of Science and Innovation.

The program of the activity will consist in four formative lectures of one hour. All the lectures will be delivered in Spanish.
