Biography
She studied at the University of Cordoba (Spain) where she obtained a degree in Forestry Engineer in 2008. Before her graduation, she began to collaborate as a fellowship holder at the Department of Hydraulic Engineering of the University of Córdoba (from July 2006 to June 2008), where she developed her final degree project under the supervision of Prof. María José Polo Gómez. On 2008 she obtained a Master degree in Environmental Hydraulics of Universities of Granada, Cordoba and Malaga. Then, she continued working in this department as hired researcher from March 2009 to February 2010. On October 2009 she joined the Fluvial and Hydrology Dynamics Group. On March 2009 she moved to University of Granada where she developed her PhD thanks to a grant-assisted student from Andalusia Government, in the Andalusian Institute of Earth System Research
(IISTA), under the supervision of Prof. Miguel A. Losada Rodríguez and Prof. María José Polo Gómez. She presented her PhD Thesis «Sources of
variability in the forcing agents of Atlantic estuaries dynamics, in Andalusia» on 2014. She continued working here as postdoctoral researcher until 2018. Since then, she continues to collaborate with the Fluvial and Hydrology Dynamics Group as self-employed. Her career has been focused on hydrological modelling, transport of substances in aquatic systems, ecological flows and atmospheric dynamic. Marta has been teaching assistant in the Master in Environmental Hydraulics, in the subjects of Transport and Mixing Processes, and Atmospheric Dynamics and Meteorology, in several courses.
