La secretaría del Programa PRIMA (Asociación para la Investigación e Innovación en la Región Mediterránea) ha publicado el Plan Anual de Trabajo para 2024 donde se incluyen las oportunidades de financiación para 2024 en las áreas temáticas de gestión del agua, sistemas agrícolas y cadena de valor agroalimentaria, integrando el enfoque WEFE (Water, Energy, Food, and Ecosystems) Nexus en todas sus convocatorias.
La fase 1 tiene como fecha límite el 2 de abril para la Sección 1 y 4 de abril para la Sección 2. Los topics propuestos en el documento son:

1 Thematic Area 1-Water management in the Nexus:
Topic 1.1.1-2024 (IA) Sustainability of Mediterranean irrigated agriculture through the implementation of the WEFE Nexus approach
2 Thematic Area 2-Farming systems in the Nexus:
Topic 1.2.1-2024 (IA) Transformative Adaptation of Mediterranean dry farming systems using water harvesting techniques to address extreme drought in arid and semi-arid environments.
3 Thematic Area 3-Food value chain in the Nexus:
Topic 1.3.1 (IA) Developing cost-effective and sustainable technologies adapted to Mediterranean Food Systems to decrease food loss and waste.
