The regional newspaper ¨Diario Córdoba¨ highlighted a procedure developed by SAC group to obtain lycopene, an antioxidant, from tomato waste in a sustainable and economically viable way, and thus respond to the demand of the food, nutraceutical (food supplements) and cosmetics industries. The newspaper article is the result of an interview to our Director (prof. Soledad Rubio). The three inventors of the patent appear in the photo (from left to right): María Jesús Dueñas, Ana Ballesteros and Soledad Rubio.
