Prof. Adrian Covaci gave a talk about the advances in mass spectrometry for human biomonitoring on 27th March 2023. As guest speaker of the Seminars organized by IQUEMA, he also visited SAC group.
Prof. Dr. Adrian COVACI is currently Professor of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry at the University of Antwerp, Belgium. He is the current director of the Toxicological Center in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Prof. Dr Covaci’s research focuses on the development of new analysis strategies for the human chemical risk exposure assessment, based on non-target approaches combining HRMS and IM-MS. He has co-authored more than 680 articles in peer-reviewed journals and has an H-index of 93. His papers have been cited more than 34,000 times which has earned him the title of Highly Cited Researcher for 8 consecutive years between 2015 and 2022. Since 2011, he is the Belgian representative in the Division of Chemistry in the Environment of the European Association for Chemical and Molecular Science (EuCheMS).
