Soledad González
PhD
Soledad González did a Bachelor and a Master in Chemistry (cum-laude grade), both at the University of Córdoba and she finished them in November 2014 and June 2017, respectively. In January 2018, she started working as a PhD student at the Supramolecular Analytical Chemistry Group of the Analytical Chemistry Department of the University of Córdoba. For this position, she was selected for a competitive research contract. During this time, her work has been focused on the analysis of emerging contaminants by supramolecular solvents and other novel techniques, acquiring knowledge and competence in this field. In October 2019, she was granted with a research contract associated to an American project (Partnership for Clean Competition) and she is working since then on the analysis and determination of anti-doping drugs in urine. As a result of all these studies, she has published five research articles. She also did a three-month stay (from January to April 2019) at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, in Trondheim (Norway) funded by the European Raptor Biomonitoring Facility COST action (CA16224) and awarded in a competitive call. Among other merits, she was granted with the prize to the best oral communication of the Spanish Analytical Chemistry Society (SEQA) in July 2019. She defended her Thesis on April 2023.
