Conference ‘The impact of climate change on cereal crops and solutions adopted by the milling industry: Spain vs. France’

The Spanish Association of Cereal Technicians (AETC) is organising the conference ‘The impact of climate change on cereal crops and solutions adopted by the milling industry: Spain vs. France’.

The meeting will take place in virtual format on Monday 13 May at 9:30h. Olivier Duvernoy, president of AEMIC, and Javier Alonso, president of AETC, will welcome the participants.

After the welcome, the round table ‘Evolution and adaptation of agronomic practices in the face of climate change’ will begin, with the participation of Philippe Gate, member of the French Academy of Agriculture; Alejandro Castilla, senior technical specialist of the IFAPA of Andalusia; and Francisco Márquez, Dr. Agronomist and technical manager of the Rabanales Experimental Farm.

This will be followed by the second round table ‘The choice of a variety in the context of climate change’, with the participation of Gilles Charmet, senior scientist at INRAE; Paulino Esquej, Cereal Product Manager at Limagrain Iberica; and Ignacio Solís, technical director of Agrovegetal.

Finally, Jean Jerome Javelaud, miller at the Moulin de Signy, will talk about the adaptation of the milling industry to crop variability.
