The Group for the Evaluation of New Varieties of Extensive Crops in Spain (GENVCE), responsible for carrying out the trials of the variety experimentation networks of the Spanish Plant Variety Office (OEVVV) and private sector companies, has organised a new edition of the GENVCE Conference.
The event will take place in Sucs (Lérida) on 17 and 18 May 2023. This is the eighth conference on innovation and transfer in extensive winter crops.
LIFE Innocereal EU will be present at this event through a stand that will help attendees to learn first-hand about the project, which aims to facilitate the transition to the production of cereals with low greenhouse gas emissions in Europe through technological innovation, improved environmental and economic profitability and the revaluation of the industry throughout the production chain.
Likewise, during the afternoon of the 17th, the project will be presented to those attending the conference, showing the progress made by the beneficiaries so far.
The event will address issues such as new challenges in plant material, technological innovation in agronomy and production sustainability. There will be more than fifteen hectares of field trials.
The aim is to provide the cereal sector with precise and practical information on the agronomic adaptation and quality of new varieties in different areas of Spain.
