The European project LIFE Innocereal EU was present as a partner in the XXXV Technical Conference that the Spanish Association of Cereal Technicians (AETC) held on 3 and 4 October at the Hotel Sherry Park in Jerez de la Frontera.
Francisco Márquez, researcher at the University of Cordoba (UCO) and coordinator of the project, presented the project to the attendees during the conference. During his speech, he showed the progress made by the beneficiaries so far.
Likewise, a stand was set up for the attendees to learn about this important project at European level, which was attended by Pedro Gallardo, former vice-president of COPA-COCEGA; Marta Bosquet, president of the Andalusian Parliament; Susana Sánchez, deputy mayor for Rural Affairs and provincial deputy; and Antonio Real, deputy mayor for Tourism.
The objective of LIFE Innocereal is to facilitate the transition to low greenhouse gas emission cereal production in Europe through technological innovation, improved environmental and economic profitability and the revaluation of the industry throughout the production chain.
