The Network of Excellence “Voices and Silences” is supported by two calls of the State Plan for R + D + i, through funded projects (FFI2015-71390-REDT and FFI2017-90732-REDT)

Objetives

Its objective is to address research questions about how the discourses of modernity were shaped as well as their defining challenges, which can be raised (or not) in dialectical terms: orality-writing, free subject-coercions and controls, individual-community, tolerance-repression , models-novelty, center-periphery, domain-exclusion, patronage-market, voices-silences, tradition-innovation …

The network also has the indefeasible objectives of promoting research excellence, the training and mobility of doctors and the international visibility of Spanish research on the modern period.
