The summer school is open to participants from both academy and industry all around the world. Graduates and postgraduates (master and PhD students) are strongly encouraged to participate, as well as any researcher and professional interested in the areas of SBSE, software analytics, mining software repositories and, in general, AI applied to SE.

Due to the COVID-19 situation, the number of in-place participants is limited to 30 people. Therefore, SMILESENG will be a hybrid event. In-place participants will be registered in strict first-come first-served order. Online attendees will be able to access to all seminars and talks via an online VC system.

Registration will be done in two steps. First, all participants must fill in a form indicating the type of attendance (in-place or online), as well as other complementary information. At this step participants must specify whether they are willing to give a talk (alone or in group) in the ordinary sessions to discuss about their work and disseminate it to the community (please see the Call for talks). Payment of the registration fee is due at this stage of the process (230€ for in-place; 50€ for online) strictly by May 22nd.

A wire transfer should be made to the following bank account: ES77 0049 2420 3127 1462 6725 (Universidad de Córdoba, VAT number: Q1418001B)

Please indicate the following concept: “SMILESENG” followed by the name and surname of the attendee. Additionally, the wire transfer document should be sent by email to smileseng@uco.es. Registration will not be complete until a confirmation email is received.

In a second step, participants who have selected to present their work in the Summer School will be asked to submit an extended abstract of their work by the 3rd of June (see Call for talks).

Refunding policies

For organisational reasons and due to the expenses incurred for each new registration, refunding of the registration fee after May 22 is not possible under no circumstances. Before the 22nd of May, only partial refunding of the registration fee (50%) is guaranteed. Any change in the type of attendance should be notified by email as soon as possible (email: smileseng@uco.es). Those in-place participants who are unable to attend the Summer School in Córdoba for any reason (travel restrictions, illness, quarantine, etc.) will keep their option to virtually attend.

Should you have any enquiry, please send an email to smileseng@uco.es including “[Registration]” as part of the subject.
