Pollen records in the air can be used to estimate the future crop, mainly in the case of anemophilus species.
Once the pollen season is finished, the total sum of pollen grains recorded gives an idea, with the aid of predictive formulas, of the possible fruit production with an advance of some months. This is very useful to plan the harvest and to manage the product. Thanks to these studies, very useful models have been produced for fruits of commercial interest as grape, olive and acorn.
Our research group has published several papers about olive and acorn. |
