The Department of Botany, Ecology and Plant Physiology includes three Areas of Knowledge: Botany, Ecology and Plant Physiology.
The Department has Teaching and Research Staff, 20 full professors, 9 contracted and 1 Emeritus, and staff of Administration and Services of 5 members, in addition to several researchers charged to projects and/or scholarship holders. The staff of the Department teaches in 5 Degrees of the University of Córdoba (Biology, Biochemistry, Environmental Sciences, Early Childhood Education and Primary Education), as well as in several Master's and Doctorate Programs.
The staff is divided into 6 Research Groups of the Andalusian Research, Development and Innovation Plan (PAIDI). The department's facilities are located in the José Celestino Mutis (C4) and Severo Ochoa (C6) buildings of the Rabanales University Campus, as well as in the Faculty of Educational Sciences (Avda. San Alberto Magno s/n).
