After graduating in Biochemistry at the University of Córdoba in 2004, she obtained her PhD in the Agrifood Biosciences and Sciences Doctoral Programme at the University of Córdoba with a thesis focused on studying the recognition and elimination of 5-methylcytosine epigenetic modification in plant DNA.
