Araceli Bolívar holds a Degree in Food Science and Technology from the University of Cordoba in 2015. One year later she obtained the master’s degree in Agri-food from the same University. For her master’s thesis she investigated the behaviour of foodborne pathogens in fishery products through predictive microbiology models. In 2017 she obtained a pre-doctoral grant (FPU) from the Spanish Ministry of Education. She has performed two research stays in BioTeC (Chemical and Biochemical Process Technology and Control) at KU Leuven University (Belgium). Her research focuses on developing bio-preservation technologies through the use of advanced molecular techniques and predictive microbiology models to extend the shelf life of fishery products.
