La comunidad de Comaltepec, apoyada por la Universidad Autónoma de México UNAM y la Asociación de Estudios Rurales y Asesoría Campesina ERA, ambos miembros de COMET-LA, ha puesto en marcha su página web. Esta ha sido concebida y diseñada por la comunidad con la finalidad de sistematizar tanto las actividades realizadas en el marco del proyecto COMET-LA como las diferentes decisiones que se tomen dentro de la comunidad y difundir la información principalmente entre las personas que viven fuera de la comunidad.
La página Web de Comaltepec contribuirá al desarrollo de la arena de aprendizaje de COMET-LA favoreciendo la divulgación de buenas prácticas y lecciones aprendidas en el ámbito de la gestión de bosque y uso del suelo.

The ICCA Consortium is an international association dedicated to promoting the appropriate recognition of and support to ICCAs (Indigenous Peoples’ and Community Conserved Areas and Territories) in the regional, national and global arena. It is comprised of Members (Indigenous People Organizations (IPOs) and Community-based Organizations (CBOs) and civil society organizations working with IPs/LCs) and Honorary members (individuals with relevant concerns and expertise relating to ICCAs)
The IUCN Portal on "Conservation and Social Equity" promotes, within the environmental community, the principles of social equity in the management of natural resources. Strategies to achieve this objective are:
- To systematize and socialize research results, initiatives led by governments and NGOs.
- To promote joint learning process on issues related to conservation and social equity.
EUROCLIMA regional cooperation programme is a partnership between the European Union and Latin America, focusing on climate change.
The Programme's objective is to improve the knowledge of decision-makers and scientists in Latin America regarding the impact of climate change in the region in order to strengthen sustainable development strategies.
At the COP 10 Meeting in Nagoya, Japan, in 2011, the parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity adopted the Satoyama Initiative. This gives special status - and money - to socio-ecological production landscapes. These are often iconic places where people are part of an agricultural landscape that has been productive and sustained over long periods of time. The Satoyama Initiative seeks to protect these landscapes and to learn from them.
Novel funding initiatives are on the cusp of implementation across the developing world. Community owned solutions for the management of ecosystem services have the potential to act as showcases for determining the most effective and efficient use of these emerging funding streams in order to maximise social justice and ecological sustainability. The COBRA Project brings together key South American and European Civil Society Organisations that have extensive experience in enabling and disseminating grassroots solutions to complex problems in the Guiana Shield region of Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela, Guyana, Suriname and French Guiana.

International debates on climate change highlight the need to foster adaptation planning in Latin America where significant impacts are expected. However, little progress has been made due to the difficulty of managing environmental dynamics characterized by deep uncertainties and potential tensions at various scales. EcoAdapt is built on the outcomes of two rounds on regional consultation with Latin American civil society organizations (CSO) and scientists. It aims at increasing the capacity of local communities, CSOs, policy-makers and scientists to engage in inter-disciplinary action-research to increase their collective capacity to adapt to climate change.
The COMBIOSERVE consortium aims to identify the conditions and principles of successful community-based conservation in selected locations in Mexico, Brazil and Bolivia, working in partnership with local Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) and indigenous communities. Many Latin American and Caribbean rural and indigenous communities have historically developed strategies to regulate land use and conserve biodiversity whilst enhancing livelihoods and reducing conflicts.
The capacity of civil society organisations and their networks in community based environmental management (CIVI.NET)
The CiVi.net project aims to analyse, transfer and disseminate successful and sustainable community based solutions with regard to ecosystem service management in Latin America. The main focus is placed on institutional settings in terms of original rules and related governance models which help to prevent and resolve tensions arising from a necessary new repartition and use of natural resources.
